Last Wednesday saw the third race in the popular Elvis Race Series at Valentines Park, hosted by East London Runners.
Despite torrential rain, Harold Wood Running Club produced some excellent performances, with Thomas Miller leading the men’s team home in 21.49.
Frances Wilson was the first HWRC woman to finish, crossing the line in 23.29, while Kate Brown celebrated success by winning the V60 age category in an impressive 24.02.
On Saturday, 23 club members travelled to Maldon for parkrun at the beautiful Promenade Park.
The scenic course follows the banks of the Blackwater Estuary and offers runners striking views throughout, including the iconic sight of St Mary’s Church on the return leg from the Byrhtnoth statue.
Sunday saw two HWRC members take on the High Easter 10k.
Carol Nelson finished in 59:16, while Lis Honeysett completed the course in 1:15.00.
