Raiders import Shaun Miller says he is enjoying life in Romford, after helping the team secure back-to-back wins in the National League last weekend.
Miller, 25, picked up a pair of assists in an 8-3 victory at Bristol on Saturday, then added a goal and an assist as Raiders - missing their other new Canadian import Andrew Shewfelt - came from two goals down to beat Hull in overtime at the Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre on Sunday.
And that saw Miller move to the top of the team's scoring charts with 18 points from his first nine games in gold and blue.
"It's a very exciting time in Romford right now and I think the fans are enjoying themselves as much as we are," said Miller.
"It's super fun to be a part of and the job is just starting.
"I thought it was a very good weekend for the community and the organisation - two strong wins and a lot of areas we can build on and move forward with in the coming games and furthering of the season."
Jake Sylvester fired Raiders ahead inside 90 seconds against the Pitbulls, his 350th point for the club, with Adam Laishram and captain Jack Cooper - with only his sixth goal in 460 appearances - also on target in the first period.
Miller set up Tommy Huggett to make it 4-2 just past the midway point, with powerplay goals from Laishram and Aiden Wilson extending the lead.
And Brandon Ayliffe and Laishram, with another powerplay goal to complete his hat-trick, added to the tally in the final period, as Matt Smital made 42 saves to ensure a happy trip home.
"The first was a bit of a chippy game and a different style of hockey on the road, but there's a lot of character in our dressing room and it was a great win as a team," added Miller.
"We got home late on Saturday night, it was a quick turnaround and back to the rink for the game on Sunday at the Sapphire which is always exciting.
"As a new player here the rink and the atmosphere is truly electric to play in, so it's always exciting to come home and play one of the top teams in our league in front of our home crowd and give them a good run."
Harvey Briggs put Raiders in front against Hull, but the Seahawks hit back to lead 3-1 at the first break.
Laishram converted on another powerplay, only for the visitors to reply in kind, before Miller netted as Raiders enjoyed another man advantage.
And Ayliffe squared matters with less than five minutes left, before Slough's Seb Mohr - one of several players on two-way deals with Raiders this season - netted a superb overtime winner.
"The game was up and down, there was a lot of emotion to it, a lot of intensity and chippiness as well," said Miller.
"But I thought it was a great game and our team did a lot to build ourselves up throughout the game and peak at the right moment.
"We've been doing a great job at managing our emotions and being able to push forward as a team.
"I think that speaks a lot about the characters in the room and following our captain.
"Our coaching staff and leadership group, all the way down to the guys who are on two-ways, have done a magnificent job in putting their best foot forward and stepping up at the right times, knowing their roles.
"As we've seen this weekend, especially Sunday with the Hull win, the two-way players - although I don't like speaking of them as a two-way player, I think those guys are just as part of the team as anybody else - have done an absolutely amazing job at stepping up when their name is called, finding ways to impact games and scoring big goals.
"At the end of the day we were looking for a goal and the kids are able to step up and make big plays.
"There's a lot of talent within that group of individuals and it's exciting to see them growing as players in this league and very exciting to see them doing that at an early stage of the season."
Raiders welcome Telford Tigers to Romford on Saturday (5.15pm), looking for their fifth successive home win of the campaign, before facing a quick return meeting with Hull in the north east.
And Miller believes there is plenty to be happy about at the minute, given the change of management during the summer.
"Starting the season off like this has been a pleasure and it comes with a lot of hard work from a lot of people in the organisation," he said.
"Not only the players, but the directors and all the staff we have who are in the background putting in work that is allowing us to go out and play our best games every day.
"That definitely doesn't go unnoticed from us players and shouldn't go unnoticed from the fans.
"We're very thankful for them and happy they can put us in a situation we can show it to the rink and put everything aside and play with pride.
"There's a lot to look forward to in this organisation in the coming games.
"It's very exciting and hopefully we can keep pushing forward and proving ourselves to this league, making people understand we're not just here to play, we're here to compete and contend.
"We'll head into this weekend, rolling with the momentum, but first we're back to the drawing board, finding out where we can improve and get better on the ice and off the ice as a team."
