The body that represents the Olympic Skateboarding team is running a coaching course at a Hornchurch skatepark this month.
Rom Skatepark, in Upper Rainham Road, is hosting the Skateboard GB: Get Rolling coaching session on August 30, to help get young coaches trained and accredited to teach skateboarding.
The six-and-a-half-hour session in Hornchurch is one of only two in the country, and will prepare skaters for employment as a professional coach or instructor.
Skateboard GB - home of Olympic Skateboarding in Great Britain and National Governing Body for the sport in England - aims to develop more opportunities and better environments for people to skate.
Rom Skatepark called the course an "amazing opportunity".
The Grade II-listed skatepark is also hoping to spread the word about the venue, as many of Havering's children still "don't know Rom exists".

It has been running free summer holiday taster sessions every Wednesday from 12pm until 4pm, to get more children involved - with three sessions left this month.
These are August 14 and August 28, for ages 12 to 19, and August 21 for children aged between six and 12.
Skateboarding has grown in popularity in recent years, after becoming an official Olympic sport in 2020.
