c2c train disruption planned this week and all weekend

Tonight (September 15), Network Rail is removing speed restrictions and carrying out maintenance between Fenchurch Street and Barking from 8.45pm, and between Barking and Upminster from 10.45pm.

Basildon line services will be diverted to Liverpool Street, calling at Stratford but not Limehouse or West Ham.

The last train from Fenchurch Street will be the 8.27pm service to Shoeburyness via Basildon.

Liverpool Street services will also be diverted via Basildon and will finish earlier than usual, with the final departure at 11.20pm to Shoeburyness.

Tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on the District line between Tower Hill, West Ham and Barking, on the Jubilee line between Stratford and West Ham, and on the DLR between Tower Gateway, Limehouse, West Ham and Stratford.

From 10.45pm, tickets will also be accepted on the District line between Barking and Upminster.

Ockendon line trains will run as shuttles between Upminster and Grays.

The last service from Fenchurch Street will be the 8.11pm train to Shoeburyness via Ockendon, while the final shuttle from Upminster will be the 12.25am train to Grays.

Passengers using Upminster, Ockendon, Chafford Hundred Lakeside and Grays should change at either Upminster or Grays for onward services towards London and Southend.

Rainham line trains will also be diverted to Liverpool Street, calling at Stratford but not Limehouse or West Ham, with services extended to Southend Central and Shoeburyness.

The last service from Fenchurch Street will be the 8.23pm train to Grays via Rainham.

Liverpool Street trains will be diverted via Basildon and will not call at Dagenham Dock, Rainham or Purfleet.

The final Liverpool Street departure will be the 9.28pm train to Shoeburyness via Rainham.

The last Londonbound Rainham service, the 10.03pm train from Shoeburyness, will terminate at Barking.

Similar disruption will take place tomorrow (September 16) and Thursday (September 17) with Basildon line services again diverted to Liverpool Street and Ockendon line trains operating as shuttles.

Rainham line services will again be diverted via Basildon, missing Dagenham Dock, Rainham and Purfleet.

The last Liverpool Street service will be the 10.53pm train to Shoeburyness via Rainham, and a 10.03pm Shoeburyness service will terminate at Barking.

Further disruption is planned across the weekend - on both Saturday (September 19) and Sunday (September 20), due to engineering work between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness.

Basildon line trains will start and finish at Fenchurch Street and Leigh-on-Sea, calling at West Ham but not Stratford.

A rail replacement service will operate between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness, affecting stations including Chalkwell, Westcliff, Southend Central, Southend East, Thorpe Bay and Shoeburyness, as well as London Liverpool Street and Stratford.

Tickets will be accepted on the Jubilee line between Stratford and West Ham and c2c season ticket holders may also use Greater Anglia services between Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street, including Romford for journeys to and from Upminster.

Ockendon line services over the weekend will run as shuttles between Upminster and Grays, with passengers advised to change at either station for services towards London and Southend.
