A post office is set to close and be relocated following initial delays to the move.
Ingatestone Post Office, located in High Street, will shut on September 26 at 5.30pm.
It will then reopen at Ingatestone Library, further down the same road, on September 28 at 1pm.
The move was originally scheduled for March, but was delayed to allow time for the library to be prepared and for legal paperwork to be completed, a spokesperson for the Post Office said.
A spokesperson previously told the Recorder: "We are pleased to confirm that the spouse of the current temporary postmaster has been appointed postmaster, and together they will continue to operate the Post Office on a permanent basis from its new location at Ingatestone Library.
"Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services in the longer term, and the relocation of this branch will enable us to maintain Post Office service to the local community."
The new branch will offer longer opening hours and will include a dedicated customer car park with disabled parking.
During the closure, customers are being directed to nearby branches.
These include Rayleigh Road Post Office in Hutton and Woodland Avenue Post Office, also in Hutton.
