Proposals have been put forward to Havering Council for up to 79 new homes at Ivy Lodge Farm, in Shepherds Hill, alongside at least 119 new parking spaces.
A range of existing commercial, office and industrial warehouses and buildings at the site are proposed to be bulldozed to make way for the housing, including a Nationwide premises.
However, some properties such as Ivy Lodge Veterinary Clinic, a residential building and the locally listed Ivy Lodge Farm would be kept and incorporated into the design of the new site.
A design and access statement, drawn up by Hybrid Planning & Development on behalf of PM Whites Properties, reveals that half of the proposed homes are planned to be "affordable" and all are aimed to be "high-quality family homes".
The statement said: "The proposal represents an ambitious opportunity to deliver much-needed housing alongside high-quality, publicly accessible green infrastructure.
"The vision is to create a landscape-led neighbourhood that integrates sensitively with the site's locally listed building, surrounding development, and ecological features.
"The development aims to foster a vibrant and inclusive community, promoting social interaction, health, and well-being through accessible design and strong connections to green spaces."

Although the proposal is an outline application, used to gain an understanding of whether a development is acceptable in principle, the housing mix has already been envisaged: eight one-bedroom homes, 20 two-bedroom homes, 42 three-bedroom homes and nine four-bedroom homes.
The one-bedroom and two-bedroom flats are proposed to be located in a two-storey apartment building in the north-west of the site, while the larger three- and four-bedroom family homes are focused along the west and south of the site.
The site, bordered by Shepherds Hill, Nags Head Lane and Harold Court Road, falls within the green belt.
However, the design and access statement argues that because the land is self-contained it would "check any further encroachment into the Green Belt", therefore meaning the site makes "no strong contribution to Green Belt Purpose".
