A main road in Harold Wood will be closed with diversions in place for almost three weeks due to "essential" sewage repair works.
Church Road is set to be shut from August 4 to August 24 while Thames Water fixes a collapsed sewer.
A Thames Water spokesperson told the Recorder: “Engineers will begin essential repairs to a collapsed sewer in Church Street on August 4.
"A road closure and diversion will be in place while works are carried out.
“The repairs are expected to be completed by August 24.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents and road users for their patience while we complete this important work.”
Church Road is predominantly residential but has multiple bus stops situated along it as well as Harold Court Primary School and Elms Industrial Estate.
