Cranham Village Surgery has come out top in Havering for the fourth time for overall patient experience, NHS survey results have revealed.
The GP surgery, located in Ingrebourne Gardens, was rated 'good' by 91.6 per cent of respondees to the NHS GP Patient Survey 2026 - the highest rating of all GP surgeries in Havering.
Respondents were asked a range of questions, including about their most recent experience at the GP, how easy they find it to make an appointment and how well they consider their needs are met.
Dr Mohammed Akhter, one of the partners at Cranham Village Surgery, said the result is "a testament to the dedication of the team that we have here".
He said the surgery team always aims to be "working in partnership with our patients" and that they are grateful their patients often "meet us halfway" and are understanding of any issues that arise.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the surgery has achieved the highest rating for patient experience in Havering in the survey, which is conducted on behalf of NHS England.
For the 2026 survey, three million registered patients in England aged 16 or over were invited to take part, and there were 654,714 valid responses across the country.
Cranham Village Surgery’s overall experience score has dipped slightly from last year when it received a score of 92.4 per cent, and even more from its score of 99 per cent in 2023.
Dr Akhter said that despite the advances of modern technology and "people [who] say we should be adopting certain techniques", the surgery's team feel strongly about continuing to do things "like they used to do back in the day".
He described its approach as "old fashioned healthcare for a new age", adding: "We feel most strongly [about] having a named doctor present who you build a relationship with, you know who your doctor is, they’ve watched you grow up, they know your family."
This year, Chase Cross Medical Care ranked second in Havering, with an overall experience score of 89.8 per cent.
Hornchurch Healthcare was a close third, with a score of 88.3pc.
Abbamoor Surgery and Chowdhury were fourth and fifth, with scores of 88.4pc and 87.8pc respectively.
