Artisan Burgers has submitted proposals for a new illuminated sign at the site of former Chinese restaurant Bamboo Garden, in Station Lane.
The application details that the sign would be hand-painted, with an external LED strip light, and would replace the current signage across the top of the shopfront.
It would be finished in a light taupe colour with a dark grey border, and have "No. 17" hand-painted in black letters in the bottom right.
Havering Council is expected to make a decision on the signage by March 13.
The application for advertisement consent marks another step forward for the new business, which submitted a premises licence bid in October 2025.
Permission to provide late-night refreshments was sought on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 11pm until midnight.
The burger restaurant is also hoping to sell alcohol from Monday to Thursday from 11am-11pm and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am until midnight.
