These five Havering restaurants have been hailed by Tripadvisor reviewers as scoring particularly highly in the romantic department.
Mangal Meze, Romford
In South Street, Mangal Meze has a 4.6 out of five average rating on Tripadvisor.
According to its website, Mangal Meze is "one of those places that keep drawing you back".
The restaurant is a "fusion of delicious Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine and the warmth of great Turkish hospitality".
One satisfied customer wrote on Tripadvisor: "Whether you're in the mood for a romantic dinner or a fun night out with friends, Mangal Meze has something for everyone."
Riennas, Hornchurch
Riennas, a restaurant in High Street that specialises in steaks, chicken and luxury fish also has a 4.6 average rating on Tripadvisor.
Several punters recalled enjoyable Valentine's Day meals at Riennas with one highlighting the "very intimate environment".
Another said: "We chanced it and went for a date night - what a good choice."
Someone else deemed the restaurant "great for couples and special occasions".
Ciao Bella, Romford
With a romantic name, translating to 'Hello beautiful', Ciao Bella in South Street proves a popular spot for Valentine's Day dinners and averages a 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor.
One punter described their experience simply as "the best romantic dinner".
Another person described previous Valentine's Day decorations as "amazing" and highlighted candles attached to the ceiling creating a "really romantic atmosphere".
Someone else said: "The ambience is cosy and intimate for a romantic couple's dinner, with professional and very considerate staff."
Crem Kitchen, Gidea Park
In Main Road, Crem Kitchen describes itself as offering "the warmth and emotion of home cooking combined with sophistication and intellectual qualities of modern restaurant food".
It has a 4.2 average rating on Tripadvisor.
One customer claimed to have "the most incredible date night" at Crem Kitchen.
They said: "From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the beautiful ambience – intimate, stylish, and perfect for couples looking for a relaxed yet special evening.
"If you’re looking for a romantic night out with incredible food, great service, and a stunning atmosphere, Crem Kitchen is a must."
Array Brasserie and Grill, Harold Wood
You may expect a restaurant originally opened by a Love Island star to retain an element of romance and according to reviews, this is the case at Array in Sheperds Hill.
Array was launched by Love Island star Kem Cetinay and business partner Nadir Gul in 2021 but was taken over by Fatih Cay and Ozgur Eriten in summer 2024.
It has an average Tripadvisor rating of 4.1.
One Tripadvisor review was titled as "10/10 evening" with a customer describing their experience as a "beautiful Valentine's meal at Array with decor and fine details as you would expect".
Another satisfied reviewer said: "The table we sat at was perfectly situated on the outer side of the restaurant so we felt cosy and not exposed whilst having a romantic meal."
