A man has been arrested by police in Rainham following reports of a group of men with machetes.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to Cherry Tree Lane shortly after 8.30pm on October 17.
The control centre had received reports of a large knife having been seen and a group of men with machetes in the area.
At the scene, police arrested one man and took him into custody.
A spokesperson for the Met confirmed that there were no injuries reported in connection to the alleged knife sighting.

They said: "Police were called to Cherry Tree Lane, Rainham, shortly after 20.30hrs on Thursday, 17 October to reports of men with machetes.
"Officers attended. One man was arrested at the scene. He has been taken into custody.
"There were no reported injuries."
