A 32-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in an Upminster street last week.
It comes with detectives investigating a stabbing in Marlborough Gardens on Friday morning (September 20), which left a 32-year-old man in a critical condition.
Charrise Daly, of Avon Road, Upminster, was charged with attempted murder and appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday (September 23).
The Met Police have confirmed that the victim is known to her and "continues to receive medical treatment for his injuries" in hospital.
However, police have said the man is no longer fighting for his life.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed that detectives are not seeking anyone else in connection with their investigation.
The man was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew, before being taken to hospital by road.
London's Air Ambulance, who are only called to help treat London's most seriously ill patients, were also flown in to assist.
Marlborough Gardens was closed on Friday after the incident, with Havering Council warning of "traffic disruption" in the area as a result. The road appears to have since reopened.
