Police are currently dealing with a "serious assault" in Brentwood.
Essex Police have partially closed the A128 Ingrave Road as they continue to deal with the incident.
Officers were called to the scene at around 3.30pm today (September 12) with reports of an incident.
The force has released an initial statement and are expected to provide updates when possible.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We are currently on the scene of a serious assault in Brentwood, which was reported shortly after 3:30pm today (12 September).

"The A128 Ingrave Road is currently partially closed and officers remain at the scene.
"We ask members of the public to respect the cordon in place and we will update when possible."
