A chance for a job on the Elizabeth Line or in the ambulance service could be on offer at a jobs and apprenticeships fair to be staged in Hornchurch.
They are among employers and training providers invited by the Hornchurch and Upminster MP Julia Lopez to set up stalls at the fair being staged at Queen’s Theatre.
“These fairs often lead to interviews and job offers,” Mrs Lopez said. “Supporting people into work and helping businesses find employees in a tight labour market is my plan to make this a good place to work and raise a family.”
Her last jobs fair in February attracted more than 300 people looking for work — including 34 who got job offers on the day and 57 invited to second interviews. Employers included the ambulance service, the NHS trust for Queen’s and King George hospitals, HSBC bank and the Met Police.
This time the MP is joined by Blue Arrow Recruitment, Care Providers Voice and Complete Classrooms as well as the London Ambulance and the Elizabeth Line services.
The Friday fair on September 13 will run from 9.30am until12.30pm at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch.
