A Brentwood care home where there is a "homely atmosphere" and the staff "could not be nicer" has been given a 'good' rating by a watchdog.
Seton Care Home, located within the Marillac Neurological Care Centre in Warley, was found to be 'good' across all categories by Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors.
The residential home cares for people aged 65 and above, with ten individuals receiving support at the time of the inspection.
During their assessment of the service, between May 29 and June 11, inspectors spoke to residents who were "positive about the care they received".
One individual told the CQC: "The staff are very good.
"We are all treated as individuals, if we want to go anywhere, we are taken.
"I think it is very well-run here."
Another added: "The staff are lovely and could not be nicer, they are very respectful to us."
The home is non-profit and run by the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul. Residents have the support of a "sister servant" who represents their interests and can act as their next of kin if required.
During the inspection, the sister servant said: "It is a great place to be, staff are very caring, and people get on well with the staff and know all about their families, people have a mixture of conditions, and we work together as a community."
In a report published on August 27, CQC detailed how Seton Care Home is safe, effective, caring and well-led.

In particular, inspectors noted that the facility focuses on person-centred care, with individuals' choices and preferences frequently updated in their care plans.
Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and take decision over their own care and wellbeing.
The report said: "We observed people’s independence was promoted during their lunchtime meal.
"At the request of people using the service when staff had served people’s meals in the dining room, they would be left to enjoy their meal then after people had eaten, they helped the staff to wash and clear up."
Although, the watchdog did find "some minor issues" with updating residents' medication lists, this was responded to proactively by the home's manager.
Inspectors highlighted that all staff had undertaken safeguarding training and knew how to raise concerns.
Records demonstrated appropriate safeguards and actions taken to ensure the wellbeing of the residents.

The CQC report said: "We observed people to be comfortable in the presence of staff members.
"It was evident staff knew people well.
"There was a calm, relaxed, friendly and homely atmosphere."
Seton Care Home was also highly praised by its staff, with one telling inspectors: "I joined last year, I love it here."
Another added: "People receive the best care here; I have worked in other homes, and this is the nicest place to work."
