A person is in hospital following crash on a major A-road between Brentwood and Ingrave.
According to the AA, the crash on Brentwood Road A128 was first reported at around 7.37am this morning (August 24).
The East of England Ambulance Service was dispatched to the road, with a rapid response vehicle sent to support the ambulance crew.
At the scene paramedics discovered that two vehicles had crashed, leaving two patients in need of medical attention.
One of the patients was assessed and discharged, whilst the other was taken to Basildon hospital for further treatment.

Details of their condition and age have not yet been confirmed.
A stretch of the A128 between Running Waters and Common Road was closed whilst the incident was dealt with, but is believed to have since reopened.
Essex Police were contacted for a comment.
