A third sexual assault was reported in Romford last week, with police tape spotted next to a children's playground.
Police were called to King George's Playing Field at around 1.20am on Friday (August 16), following reports of a sexual assault.
An area near the playground was pictured with crime scene tape around it, and an officer was posted nearby.
The Metropolitan Police has said that a women is being supported by specially trained officers, although at this stage there have been no arrests.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: "The investigation is ongoing and enquiries are still being made.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD384/16AUG.
"You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
This was the third sexual assault reported in Romford in just two days.
A woman in her 30s was sexually assaulted at a town centre hotel in the early hours of Thursday morning (August 15).
Police officers also received reports of a "serious sexual assault" in Exchange Street, between 1am and 2am on Friday (August 16).
The Met Police have confirmed there is "no indication" these incidents are linked, and investigations are ongoing in all three cases.
