A woman has expressed her disgust after she said she found mould on a wrap bought at a Subway branch in Romford.
Hayley Dagger, 36, said she purchased the item from the chain's Liberty Shopping Centre outlet on Wednesday (July 24) at about 10.30am.
Before biting into it, the Harold Wood resident said she inspected the wrap and found mould present on it.
"It's disgusting," she said. "I was shocked so I took pictures of it - that was a safety concern, it could've made me extremely ill.
"I'm not going back to that branch, that could've been an elderly person, it could've been a young child."

In response to Hayley's claims, Subway said: “The health and safety of our guests is a top priority.
"The situation was investigated directly by the franchisee and resolved to the satisfaction of all parties."
When asked if she was pleased with Subway's response, Hayley said she was refunded and invited in for a free meal.
But she was adamant she would not be returning to the Romford branch.
"It could've been a lot worse," Hayley, who has three young girls, said. "[But] they should quality check their food."
"They say it should be fresh and that clearly wasn't," she added.
