A Romford town centre Wetherspoons has closed for refurbishment works.
The Moon and Stars in South Street will reopen on July 30, a spokesperson for the British pub chain confirmed today (July 10).
A photo posted by the Romford Civic Society on Facebook appeared to show metal fencing up around the pub and a banner stating that refurbishment was taking place.
It comes after the pub, which underwent a £1.3 million refurbishment in 2019, was forced to shut "for hours" last month.
The Recorder reported last month the South Street Wetherspoons unexpectedly shut for a time on June 9 to facilitate maintenance work.

The pub reopened shortly after but has now closed again.
A spokesperson for Wetherspoons said they were unable to confirm the exact nature of the works being carried out.
"Wetherspoon always aims to provide customers with the best possible pubs and these works are part of that continued commitment," the spokesperson added.
The Moon and Stars opened in 1994 in a premises formerly occupied by Bonbon Ladies' Fashions, according to its Wetherspoons listing.
