Andrew Rosindell was elected as MP for Romford in yesterday's general election.
The Conservative successfully fended off the challenge of Labour candidate Andrew Archilleos to hold his seat.
Speaking after he was declared the winner in the early hours of this morning (July 5), Mr Rosindell said: "For me this is a very proud moment to be elected the Member of Parliament for Romford for the seventh time."
His victory comes with Labour on course for a landslide win across the country and leader Sir Keir Starmer set to become the new Prime Minister.
Before this year’s poll, Romford was a safe Conservative seat and had voted the party in since 2001, the year Rosindell was elected.
