A car went ablaze in Rainham just metres outside people's homes.
The London Fire Brigade was called at 12.01pm on June 24 with reports of a vehicle fire.
Firefighters swarmed Cowper Road, a residential street, yesterday to find the car on fire near people's homes and cars.
In total, the brigade's control centre took eight emergency calls about the fire, which they managed to extinguish in less than 20 minutes.

A fire engine from Dagenham fire station attended the incident.
Video footage and photos taken from the street show the car engulfed in flames, with black smoke billowing around it.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed.
