Two men have been arrested after a large cannabis factory was found in an industrial unit.
Police officers executed a warrant at a warehouse in Northgate Industrial Estate, Collier Row Road, Collier Row on Wednesday (April 17).
Once inside they uncovered a cannabis factory with 1,600 plants with a potential of £1m.
The warrant was part of the Met's ongoing Clear Hold Build initiative, targeting organised crime and drugs supply.
Inspector Charlie Routley, tactical lead for Clear Hold Build in Havering, said: "It was a substantial seizure."
Officers from Havering Safer Neighbourhoods, Barking & Dagenham Safer Neighbourhoods, East Area drugs Focus Desk and East Area Street Duties all took part in the raid.
Two men have been arrested and charged with Production of Cannabis and Abstraction of Electricity.
Insp Routley added: "Cannabis production represent a significant danger to the public who live and work in our boroughs.
"I'd like to reassure people that following our warrant, representatives from the National Grid have "made safe" the electrics.
"Our priority is to disrupt organised crime groups and prevent drugs being sold on the streets of Havering and Barking & Dagenham.
"We are committed to protecting our communities from the associated violent crime and antisocial behaviour that is often linked to drugs supply."
He encouraged anyone with concerns relating to drugs supply to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
He added: "We will take action."
