A male has been arrested after a car crash in which the driver allegedly failed to stop for police.
South Hornchurch and Beam Park Police said they had arrested a male who reportedly failed to stop after a car crash on Saturday (March 30) evening, posting the details to X, formerly Twitter.
Police arrested the male that evening and photos taken by officers, posted at 11.25pm on Saturday, show the silver car's almost-entirely destroyed front.
The alleged incident started in New Road in Rainham, continued to Ferry Lane and ended up on the A13 eastbound at the slip road exit for Wennington, the area's police team said.
Police said on X that the driver was allegedly not holding a licence.
