Easter season is almost upon us, and the long weekend is set to bring with it some sunny days and travel chaos.

Elizabeth Line, the TfL website says, will not run through the central section, from Paddington to Abbey Wood and Shenfield.

Westbound services from Shenfield will terminate at London Liverpool Street National Rail station and will not be stopping at Whitechapel station.

This, TfL adds, is said to be for signalling software updates which will result in fewer delays and more reliable journeys in the future.

All London underground trains, however, including the District Line that runs through Upminster, will be running with no closures set to take place.

Those planning their journeys to Essex must note that c2c rail operator has engineering works ongoing between Fenchurch Street and Barking, and between Barking and Upminster from Monday (March 25) to Thursday (March 28).

During these days, c2c services will start/terminate at Liverpool Street, Barking and Upminster.

On March 29 and 31, a reduced bank holiday service will operate for c2c trains and passengers have been urged by the operator to plan their travels ahead using the National Rail Enquiries journey planner.
