A nursery in Romford has seen its Ofsted rating upgraded after a recent inspection.
Star Bright Day Nursery, in Mawney Road, was visited by inspectors on January 23 and was rated ‘good’ overall.
A previous inspection of the site, done on March 21 last year, had labelled the nursery 'requires improvement'.
The latest report said staff are “caring and supportive” towards pupils at this “welcoming nursery”.
Young children, it said, have “secure bonds” with their key person and were “quickly comforted by cuddles and reassurance”.

The nursery’s “ambitious curriculum” was praised for supporting all pupils to make progress over time.
Leaders, Ofsted added, have ensured that their curriculum gives them the skills and knowledge they need for the next stage by forming links with primary schools.
The inspectors also noted that staff sang songs in a variety of languages, including British Sign Language, and invited parents in to read stories in their home languages.
This diversity was also said to be reflected in the leader’s investment in books and resources to make the pupils feel represented and valued.
The improvement contrasted with findings from last year that said children’s experiences were inconsistent at the nursery and that staff did not have high expectations of what the pupils could achieve.
Safeguarding arrangements at the nursery were found to be effective.
