Two people have been arrested following a police chase that saw two women taken to hospital after cars crashed.
A car failed to stop for police in Greenside, Dagenham, at 2.54pm on Friday (February 9), so a pursuit was authorised by Scotland Yard.
Shortly before 3pm the car being chased crashed into another vehicle and a female pedestrian in Becontree Avenue.
The pedestrian and the female driver of the other car were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
The condition of both women has been assessed as not life-threatening, police said.
Two suspects were caught and detained after fleeing from their car on foot.
Both were taken to hospital as a precaution and have now been taken into custody at an east London police station.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "As is routine in such circumstances, the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards have been informed."
