A man was taken to hospital after an early-hours blaze at a house in Chadwell Heath.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) said it was called at 2.06am last Sunday (February 4) to Green Lane in Chadwell Heath where half the first floor of a house was damaged by fire.
LFB officers found a man suffering from smoke inhalation and took him to hospital.
They also treated another man at the scene. By 3.03am the fire was extinguished.

Crews from Hornchurch, Ilford and Dagenham fire stations attended the two-storey mid-terraced house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, LFB added.
Issuing fire safety advice, an LFB spokesperson said: "Don’t try to contact your local fire station or fire safety team in an emergency.
"Call 999 and talk to a control room operator, emergency resources can only be mobilised from there."
