A motorway and dual carriageway close to Brentwood will be shut overnight.
National Highways have confirmed that the A12 and M25 will both be affected by closures from later tonight (January 20) until tomorrow morning (January 21).
The southbound carriageway on the A12 will be shut between junction 12 near Shenfield and junction 16 near Chelmsford from 8pm this evening.
This is reportedly to carry out “reconstruction work” on the road. It is expected to re-open at 5am tomorrow morning.
The M25 closure will start slightly later – at 10pm – but will also end at 5am tomorrow.
The clockwise carriageway between junction 27 near Epping and junction 28 near Brentwood will be blocked off to traffic during these times.
The closure is reportedly in place as a result of “technology schemes”.
