An upcoming bakery and deli in Romford has sought council’s approval to sell alcohol.

Dulce Limited, that runs Dulce Food & Cakes, has sent a premise licence application for their new outlet on South Street, the notice for which was published in our paper on December 12.

The eatery has proposed selling alcohol for consumption off premises from Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm, on Saturdays from 10am to 10pm and on Sundays from 10am to 7pm.

The notice invited interested parties or responsible authorities to send in their objections, if any, to council’s licensing team at Mercury House, Mercury Gardens, Romford, RM1 3RX.

Such representations, it said, must be received in writing within 28 days of the notice stating grounds for objections.

It stated that making false statements in connection with the application knowingly or recklessly is an offence.

The proposal is open to public feedback until February 8.

The shopfit plan for the store sent last year included hot food and bakery sections, a fresh storefront, signage, as well as electric sliding doors.

The eatery, the currently has an outlet in Romford’s Brewery Shopping Centre, says on the website that they offer “the very best in Eastern European food, drinks and cakes” in the area.

The unit on South Street is expected to be launched in February.
