A new Asda store is coming to Romford and the supermarket chain has revealed its opening date.
The Asda Express is set to open its doors next Tuesday (December 5) and will be in South Street near to Romford station.
It has created 21 jobs for the community, the chain added, and will be open from 6am to 11pm from Monday to Sunday.
Andy Perry, the chain's managing director of convenience, said: “We’re excited to be bringing our new convenience offering to Romford and we’re confident the store will offer customers everything they need."

In November, Asda started a programme to convert 119 convenience stores acquired from the Co-op in 2022.
One of these was the former South Street Co-op.
The store will include a Costa Coffee machine, a Krispy Kreme kiosk and a cash machine.
