A kitchen showroom could replace a beauty salon in Hornchurch if plans get the go-ahead.
The premises at 63-65 Butts Green Road, formerly the Layla Hinchen salon, which offered permanent make-up and beauty treatments, could be replaced by a kitchen showroom if Havering Council approves the application.
The plans were received by the council on November 15 and validated two days later.
In a design and access statement from PolarDesign on behalf of applicant NGUK Kitchens, the agent said the proposed use would also contain a shop front.
This comes after previous tenant Layla Hinchen downsized to a home studio to save money.
The planning statement added that the application seeks a change of use only, and does not propose any external alterations.
Under the plans, two permanent staff members would work in the showroom.
The proposed operating hours are from 9am until 6pm, Monday to Sunday.
A decision date for the application, P1690.23, has been set to January 12 in 2024.
