A man has been rushed to hospital after a crash between three lorries on M25 this morning.
Metropolitan Police were called at around 7.56am today to reports of the crash on the motorway between junction 29 in Upminster and junction 30 in Thurrock.
Three of the four lanes were closed as a result.
Miles of traffic was seen on traffic cameras with delays of more than an hour extended to Dartford tunnel.
National Highways said that there was a “large” oil spill on the roads due to the crash and work was underway to clear it up for more than three hours.
Only 2 lanes (of 4) are now closed on the #M25 anti-clockwise in #Essex between J30 (#Thurrock) and J29 (#Upminster).

London Ambulance Service deployed an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the location.
They treated a driver at the scene before taking him to hospital “as a priority”. His condition is currently unknown.
Police cordons remain in place, but National Highways confirmed that all lanes have since reopened at around 11.52am. Recovery of vehicles on the route has also been completed.
