A spine-tingling line-up of events are set to take place in Romford to mark Halloween this year.
The Romford Business Improvement District (BID) has announced a host of free Halloween-themed activities that will be held in the town centre on October 28 between 12pm and 4pm.
“Frightfully brilliant” stilt walkers will roam around Romford Market or South Street that day, and face painters will help transform visitors into their favourite Halloween characters.
From 9am to 4 pm, visitors can brave the BID's freaky maze of terror ride, located at the top of the market in front of Tollgate House. There will also be other Halloween-inspired fairground rides in South Street.

Sweet treats and spooky selfie stations will also be scattered throughout the event.
Julie Frost, Romford BID director, said Halloween “has grown massively in popularity in the UK” and “it's only right that we celebrate this special day in a big way".
She added: “This promises to be a really spooktacular occasion with our special scary guests, face painters, rides, selfie opportunities, and sweet treats – we're sure it will get everyone in the spirit of Halloween ahead of the spookiest night of the year.”
