A Romford store that was closed after a woman fell from its escalator has reopened this morning.
Emergency services were called to Primark in South Street yesterday (October 4) at around 10.15am after reports of the incident.
Eyewitnesses claimed that a woman had tripped backwards.
London Ambulance Service deployed an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast-response car, and an ambulance crew.
They treated a woman on site before rushing her to the hospital “as a priority”. A police cordon was in place outside, and the store was shut for the rest of the day.

A spokesperson for Primark has confirmed that the shop has since reopened to public this morning.
She said: “Our thoughts are with the customer following an incident in our Romford store on Wednesday morning.”
While not much is known about the woman’s condition, the LAS has said that she was “treated for head injuries”.
Several Recorder readers expressed their shock and condolences for the woman. One of them commented: “I was there. The bang was quite loud.”
Another said: “I hope the woman makes a full recovery and wasn’t hurt too bad."
