A Harold Hill school has been praised in an Ofsted report upgrading its overall rating.
Drapers' Brookside Infant School in Dagnam Park Drive received a largely positive report following inspections carried out last October.
Previously graded as ‘requires improvement’, the school was moved up to ‘good’ across every metric, with its safeguarding measures and range of extra-curricular clubs praised.
Inspectors also hailed the school for its "carefully designed" curriculum and pupils’ behaviour.
The need to continue training some new subject leaders was among the few areas of improvement noted, with principal Angela Winch saying the school is “very pleased with the outcome of the latest Ofsted inspection”.
She added: “First, I must thank our children, families and staff for their huge support.

“As the inspectors rightly noted this is a school that works in partnership with the community we serve. Our children and their families feel safe and supported at this school.
“Our biggest achievement as a school is that our children are enthusiastic and focused in class, they really love being here.
“Finally, I would just like to say a big thanks to the Drapers’ Multi-Academy Trust and our partners including the Drapers’ Company for their continued backing.”
