A gastropub in Romford town centre has been praised for having "very good" food hygiene standards after its first inspection.
Ivy Tree, in South Street, has achieved the highest rating for its food hygiene - five out of five - after an inspection by Food Standards Agency (FSA) officers on September 19.
Formerly The World's Inn Wetherspoons, the bar was found to have "very good" hygiene standards across all three areas.
This includes the hygienic handling of food, the cleanliness and condition of its facilities, and the management of food safety.

Ivy Tree aims to bring the "feel of Mayfair" to Romford, according to owner Remzi Erdogan, with its art deco look and live DJs.
Remzi previously told the Recorder that he was "very excited" to open the new venue, as "there's nothing similar in Romford" at the moment.
The gastropub's first food hygiene rating has come more than a month after its "soft launch" opening on August 8.
The launch date was previously delayed due to "technical issues" and a dispute over naming rights with famous restaurant chain The Ivy.
