A special school in Little Heath is shut for the second day in a row after staff took "industrial action".
Little Heath School, in Hainault Road, was closed on Tuesday (September 10) and is closed again today (September 11) "due to industrial action", according to the school's website.
A photo shows parents and staff protesting outside the school, which caters for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with a picket line in place between 8am and 9am on both days of strikes.
Banners seen included messages such as 'SEND children matter' and 'SEND deserves better'.
The school reopened on Monday (September 9) for the new term, following refurbishment work over the summer - but was forced to close only a day later due to the industrial action.
Parents said they were only informed of the closure at 4pm on Monday.
The nature and reasons for the strike action are unconfirmed.
The Recorder contacted Little Heath School about the closure but it declined to comment.
The school's website says it will be open again as normal tomorrow (September 12).
The National Education Union and Redbridge Council have been contacted for comment.
