A pensioner has been found with a head injury after being attacked near a Tesco superstore.
Police were called to Tesco Extra in Bridge Road, Rainham, at about 10.38am today (August 30) to reports of a man assaulted.
A pensioner in his 70s was found with a head injury by police and the London Ambulance Service.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

His condition is currently being assessed.
"No arrests have been made at this time and this remains a live investigation," a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
