The first images have emerged online from a crime scene at a live police incident in East Ham. 

According to the AA, a section of the A124 Barking Road has been shut between the A117 Ron Leighton Way and Keppel Road because of a police incident.

The road closure has affected surrounding roads, including Lloyd Road and St Johns Road.

We have contacted the Met Police but are yet to receive any confirmation of the nature of the incident.

Pictures taken in Lloyd Road and St Johns Road have shown crime scene tape at the entrances and exits.

Buses have been affected as a result, with usual buses in the area adopting amended routes and running reduced services. 

The 58 and 115 buses have been disrupted in both directions and will not be serving their full timetabled route.

Both services will be terminating and starting at Bartle Avenue. There will be no service between Bartle Avenue and East Ham/Central Park.

Bus service 376 will be terminating and starting at Bendish Road. The timetabled route will not be served in full, with no service between Bendish Road and Newham Town Hall. 

The Metropolitan Police has been approached for a statement on the incident, and Newham Council have also been contacted for comment.
