A former barber shop in Elm Park could become a café selling alcohol.

Station Parade Lounge has applied for a licence to sell alcohol at 1 Station Parade - formerly Elm Park Barbers.

The premises licence was submitted to Havering Council on July 19, and is open to public feedback from July 22 until August 7.

Director of Station Parade Lounge Ltd Petrit Malaj previously submitted a planning application to the council in June to change the use of the shop to a café.

The plans also included putting up a new glazed conservatory at the front of the lounge with a retractable awning.

Havering Council is expected to make a decision on the application by August 2.

Station Parade Lounge has been in the making for a while - the company changed their registered office address to 1 Station Parade back in August 2022.

The company name was officially changed to Station Parade Lounge, and Mr Malaj took over as director, in June.

Those who wish to make a representation for the premises licence application can make it to The Licensing Authority Town Hall Main Road Romford RM1 3BD or via www.havering.gov.uk.
