A McDonald's in Romford has reopened after refurbishment works in a bid to cut service times.
The fast food chain reopened its South Street branch today (July 9) following a "redesign" which includes introducing a courier waiting area.
Improved break spaces for McDonald's staff, a fresh kitchen design and front counter changes to reduce clutter are among other changes made.
McDonald's has more than 1,450 restaurants in the UK and Ireland, including eight branches in Romford.
These are owned and operated by Gerry Byrne, who said: “I’m proud to reinvest in our Romford restaurant.
"I’m confident the changes will not only benefit our customers but also our staff as they will help make their jobs a little easier."

McDonald's announced that the reopening has created ten jobs for people in Romford.
The revamp will give diners more space to eat meals with less congestion around touchscreens, the company said.
In the kitchen, the order assembly area with be larger to allow quicker service, it was added.
