A barber shop that could be converted into a new lounge is among the list of planning applications submitted to the local authority over the last week.

The proposals are among the 45  planning applications submitted to Havering Council between June 4 and June 10.

The council is currently reviewing each application and has yet to make a decision on any of them.

We have summed up the most significant applications below:

  • Proposals have been put forward to convert a barber shop on 1 Station Parade, Hornchurch, into a lounge called ‘Station Parade Lounge’.  It involves putting up a new glazed conservatory to the front with a retractable awning. Another plan submitted proposes two internally illuminated signs for the new venue. (P0797.24 / A0017.24)
  • There are plans to create a new detached four-bedroom house, with improvements to an existing pond on Romney Chase, Hornchurch. (P0747.24)
  • An outbuilding at 15 & 17 Homeway, Romford, could be demolished to build two new homes with private amenity and off-street car parking. (P0767.24).
  • Plans were submitted for a detached three-bedroom and two-storey home with parking and amenities, following the demolition of an existing garage at Cecil Avenue, Hornchurch.

  • Havering Council also received plans to extend the pavilion club at Upminster Pavilion, Upminster Park, with internal alterations. (P0784.24)
