Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash in Gidea Park which has partly closed a main road.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to Main Road at 9.25am this morning (June 13) with reports of a crash. 

The London Ambulance Service were also dispatched, arriving in less than a minute of the report coming in. 

A car and a lorry were found to have crashed at the junction of Main Road with Lodge Avenue. 

Partial road closures are in place whilst the incident is dealt with by emergency services.

Two patients were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital as a priority. 

A spokesperson for the Met confirmed their injuries are not believed to be serious. 

Enquiries into the crash are ongoing.
