A man found carrying a knife and drugs in Rainham has been arrested by police.
The incident came to light when local police officers were on patrol in New Road on Thursday (May 16) just before 1pm.

They were alerted to an altercation involving a man with a knife and launched a pursuit, a Met Police spokesperson said.
The man was arrested a short time later.
The spokesperson said officers found 100 pills of different colours, suspected to be Class A drugs.
A bike allegedly stolen by him to escape police was recovered and returned by the officers.
