A post office has been left damaged with goods scattered across the floor after reports of a burglary.
Petersfield Avenue in Harrold Hill is partially blocked this morning (May 21) as a parade of shops in the area is cordoned off.
Police were called at around 2am to reports of a burglary and more than eight hours later a crime scene remains.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At this early stage, there have been no arrests.”
Details about the burglary are scarce at this time, but one local who saw the damage left behind claimed that an ATM could have been pulled from the shop.
At this time, the Met says it is unable to share further information about the incident or how the suspects gained entry.

The road is partially blocked both ways, with slow traffic in the area between Redruth Road and Leamington Road.
At the time of publication, the 496 and 608 bus routes are being detoured.
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing, anyone with information is asked to come forward to police by calling 101, referencing CAD436/21MAY.
