The 14-year-old boy who was killed in the Hainault sword attacks has been named.

Daniel Anjorin, 14, is understood to have attended Bancroft's School, the same school as Grace O’Malley-Kumar, a student fatally stabbed in Nottingham last year, was attacked and rushed to hospital yesterday morning (April 30).

Police were called to Thurlow Gardens just before 7am to reports of a vehicle being driven into a house, and several reports that people had been stabbed.

Daniel's mother works at Holy Family Catholic School in Walthamstow, which released a statement on the attacks where four others were hurt, including two police officers.

"It is with great sadness that I share with you the news of the death of the child of one of our staff members," a website statement read.

“Mrs Anjorin’s son was taken from this life suddenly this morning on his way to school. Please keep Mrs Anjorin, her husband and their other children in your prayers.”

Dr Sanjoy Kumar, Grace's father, also paid tribute on Good Morning Britain today (May 1).

“It’s absolutely appalling. You can’t even imagine what the parents are going through. This is just the most difficult thing for any parents to endure."
