A family-owned Italian restaurant in Romford that opened just three months ago in Romford has closed.
The Italyans, in Romford Shopping Hall, launched on February 1 serving authentic Italian food.
It replaced the former McDowell’s Pie and Mash shop.
The Italyans owner, Francesco Madena, 32, previously told the Recorder that he had invested all his life savings into the business and hoped for it to succeed.

A health emergency and delivery issues delayed the restaurant’s opening, which had been slated for by October last year.
When the eatery finally welcomed visitors in February, Francesco said they were excited for people to get to know them and try their dishes. They even provided food for Danny Dyer when he and his crew visited the town for a film shoot.
But, within weeks of this, the restaurant announced that their time at Romford Shopping Hall has come to an end.
In a message on its Facebook page on April 23, The Italyans said that it is in the process of finding a new home for the business but are not sure where that is going to be.
“We want to thank you for all your support these past months. Our customers have been our greatest joy. This was not something we expected, and it happened quite fast," the restaurant said.
The Recorder has contacted Francesco for further comment but has not received a response.
