A road in Harold Wood that connects with the A12 is set to be shut for excavation works.

A notice of a new set of proposed road closures by Havering Council was published on April 5.

According to it, Maylands Way could be closed at its junctions with Johns Terrace and Colchester Road A12 westbound between 10am and 3pm from April 15 to May 5 for excavation works. A diversion route would be in place through Harold Court Road, Homeway and Mylands Way on these days.

Two sets of resurfacing works have also been proposed. Ingleglen in Hornchurch will be closed at its junction with Rayburn Road from 8am to 5pm on April 16 and 17 for the purpose.

Hacton Lane in Hornchurch is also set to be closed between its junction with Upminster Road and Bevan Way, and Kenley Gardens, Ravenscourt Grove and Bevan Way will shut at their junctions with Hacton Lane from 7.30pm to 6am between April 18 and 20.

These restrictions are in addition to those already confirmed previously. These include gas mains replacement work on Sylvan Avenue in Hornchurch from outside no. 3 to its junction with Wingletye Lane from 7am to 7pm between April 8 and May 12.

Pedestrian crossing installation work on Rosewood Avenue in Hornchurch is expected to continue with the road closed outside nos. 1 to 5 Station Parade from April 8 to May 3 between 8am to 5pm.
