The water company carrying out repairs after a bus sank into a hole in the road has shared an update on the works.
A 248 bus going towards Romford Market was seen fallen into the hole in Front Lane, Cranham this morning (April 5) prompting a road closure.
Councillor Gillian Ford said she called a tow truck after several minutes of the bus blocking the street.
The bus was later removed but Cllr Ford said the road was likely to be shut for two days while a water leak is fixed.

A spokesperson for Essex and Suffolk Water has told the Recorder that the road will be closed today but it is looking to have traffic management in place for one lane by tomorrow afternoon.
They said: “Due to repairs being carried out, Front Lane in Upminster will be closed today – and we are looking to have traffic management in place for one lane by tomorrow afternoon.
“No customer supplies have been impacted and we are working quickly as possible.”
