The Brewery in Romford has shut after a stabbing, a spokesperson for the shopping centre has confirmed.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called at 12.53pm today (February 20) to reports of an injured man in the shopping centre.
"A witness reported seeing a man with a knife injury to the back," police added.
The Brewery has issued an update, stating that the shopping centre is currently closed while emergency services investigate.
“We can confirm that a serious incident took place at The Brewery earlier today," a Brewery spokesperson said.

"The situation is under police investigation and we are therefore unable to comment any further," it was added.
Police said that they believe the stabbing took place inside a shopping centre stairwell. The victim has been taken to an east London hospital.
A probe has been launched to find the suspect, police added.
